England, around 1885.

Page in silken tulle and chantilly lace, painted at distemper.
The painting represents the sight from below of Venus sitting on a shell sustained on the right by an angel, and on the left other two characters: one feathers winged, the other one with butterfly’s wings (allegory of the soul), above there are Venus, an amorino (Cupid) crowning her. A long flowers garland symbolically links all the characters.
The fabulous scene is ruined by a name later inserted.
The white pearl sticks are engraved and golden painted; the rivet is closed by the usual brass hoop.
