Spain 1920

A flexible fan, the monochrome painting represents a woman close to a little table flower pot she lightly grazes with the left hand, while the right hand props on a chair’s backrest. Beautiful  portrait of a woman with a sweet expression and it’s surprising how, with few tracts, the dress style is so well defined. The glass or crystal flowers’ pot with its longed shape is typical of the period. The wooden sticks have a little decoration at the throat; the celluloid and  bone guards are sculpted and colored with flowery themes just at the height of the page. The signature P. Garcia is well visible on the right before the rocaille decoration of the extremities.
