Holland second half of XVIII century

Velin double page painted in distemper. Sculpted and fretted  ivory sticks . The whole page scene is referred to the Miracle of the Emoroissa. The fan is so religious and so rare because it represents the miracle of Jesus Christ told by the gospels of: Matteo 9: 20 - 22, Luca  8: 43 - 48 and  Marco 5: 25 – 34. According the Christian Doctrine the episode is the metaphor of the faith that takes to the safety. The clear colors, the simplicity of the background, the prevalence of the white and first of all the theme, all this puts it in the Wallon area. On retro a very simple floral decoration.
